In the wake of a public outcry over the planned closure of the main Post Office branches in Douglas and Ramsey, the Post Office has released videos of how the new sub-branches might look.

Both the Regent Street and Parliament Street branches are moving into nearby Spar shops. Post Office chairman Graham Cregeen MHK says 19 staff will lose their jobs.

The Post Office has produced draft plans of how it envisages the layout in each Spar shop. A spokesman said: 'These are a first draft showing general layout and service points. Each new location will have the same number of service points as existing branches. As plans change, the videos will be updated accordingly.'
