More than 100 people angry at plans to close Ramsey's main post office held a public protest last night.
Local people opposed to the move, announced this week by Isle of Man Post Office, gathered outside Ramsey Commissioners' regular meeting to make their views known.
The authority brought the issue onto its agenda.
It announced that there will be a public meeting next Wednesday 26 November at 7pm at Ramsey Grammar School West building.
Post Office Chairman Graham Cregeen, Chief Executive Mike Kelly, and Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer will be present.
The loss-making offices in Parliament Street in Ramsey and in Regent Street in Douglas are due to close early in the new year.
