Capital International Group raises ?1,200 for Children in Need

by isleofman.com 20th November 2014

Friday 14th November celebrated the 35th BBC Children in Need appeal and through the generosity of its staff the Capital International Group raised ?1,200 for the charity.

Fundraising on the day involved staff wearing pyjamas to the office with some very fetching onesies; from abstract designs to the winning duckling entry and a rather creative Pudsey colouring competition. Members of staff also held a charity bake-sale to raise money for the charity as well as trying to guess the number of loom bands in a jar. The day’s events culminated in a surprisingly well supported sponsored silence by Olivia Ramsay and with Paul Hickey having his back waxed all in the proud name of Children in Need.

The Social and Charity Committee are dedicated to giving back to the community and none more so than the young, the disadvantaged and the vulnerable. The opportunity to support charities such as Children in Need and Comic Relief gives everyone the opportunity to contribute, get involved and feel like they have contributed to the greater good.

“We are overwhelmed by the success of the fundraising and thanks should go to the Committee and all those involved in organising such a great day - the results speak for themselves…”
