Urdu speakers needed

by isleofman.com 21st November 2014
Police are urgently appealing for interpreters on the Isle of Man who are able to speak Urdu and are available today (Friday).

Anyone who is able to help should speak to PC Louise Seed on 631212.

Police say they're currently involved in an ongoing investigation and are having communication problems.

Officers are appealing to anyone on the Island who is multilingual and could offer their services to get in touch.

Potential interpreters need to go through a vetting and accreditation procedure.

They can be needed for everything from police work and court procedures to medical services and they receive expenses and payments for their time.
