Education vision pivotal in BHS extension

A long–term supporter of education in the Island has been praised for his vision.
Alwyn Collister, a former school governor and chair of governors at schools across the Island, was pivotal in ensuring much needed learning, examination and dining space was secured at Ballakermeen High School in Douglas.
It has now been provided and on Friday Minister for Education and Children Tim Crookall opened a ?3.2 million extension, described as a major investment in the future of young people.
Mr Collister said it was essential to create space, with school accommodation cramped and curtailing normal activities:Clip 1
