MDAI ban could be extended

by isleofman.com 29th November 2014
Tynwald will be asked to extend a ban on a synthetic ecstasy drug when it sits next month.

MDAI was banned on the Island in 2011 after the death of 17 year old Tanya Hughes of Ramsey, and has been a class C drug since then.

Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle MHK will lay the Misuse of Drugs (Controlled Drug Specification) (MDAI) Order before the court.

The order would extend the ban from January 1 next year.
