Last day for firearms amnesty

by isleofman.com 30th November 2014
If you have unwanted or unlicensed firearms, today is your last chance to hand them in to police.

The latest Island-wide firearms amnesty ends at midnight on Sunday.

The response to date is described as very good, with firearms, ammunition and knives handed in.

The amnesty also covers knives, swords and other weapons - although anyone with explosives such as grenades should not take them to police stations.

The advice is to contact police headquarters and arrangeme for a firearms officer to visit and make the device safe.
