Lloyds to sell CMI?

Reports in the UK say Lloyds Banking Group is to sell off Manx-based Clerical Medical International.

The offshore investment division of Scottish Widows manages ?5 billion in funds and was bought by Lloyds when it took over HBOS during the financial crisis in 2009.

According to the Financial Times yesterday (Sunday) , Fenchurch Advisory Partners will handle any potential deal, which could be worth as much as ?200 million.

CMI was set up in 1987 and stopped writing new policies two years ago.
