Day to raise awareness of AIDS and HIV

by isleofman.com 1st December 2014
Today (Monday) is World Aids Day and an Island support group for HIV sufferers is doing its bit to raise awareness of the condition - and the fight against it.
This will be the second year the IoM HIV Support Group has marked the occasion.
In the past 12 months, the group has held discussions with public health and education officials, in its campaign to have the condition better and more widely understood.
Today, public buildings around the Island will be illuminated red, including Douglas power station, the Tower of Refuge and Ramsey swing bridge.
In workplaces, staff will be invited to wear red AIDS awareness ribbons - the theme colour of World Aids Day.
Group spokesman is Tony Watterson:Clip 1
