Restricted access for Chibbanagh

by isleofman.com 1st December 2014
The public has restricted access to a popular woodland this week.
Chibbanagh Plantation, situated on the Cooil Road near to the Braaid, is closing next week through until the end of February but parts remain open this week.
It’s to allow the removal of several thousand trees, felled earlier this year to prevent the spread of Sudden Oak Death.
Graeme Watson, access and recreation officer for the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, says it’s essential forestry work.Clip 1
