Mild autumn and November

by isleofman.com 2nd December 2014
Weathermen say November was the fourth mildest on record, almost a degree and a half warmer than the long-term average.

Mean temperatures were 10°C, compared to the long term mean of 8.6°C, and the Met Office says there was 14 per cent less rainfall than usual.

It was also the third warmest autumn since records began in 1947 with ten per cent more sunshine than normal.

But a very wet October meant despite that sunshine – and a dry September – autumn 2014 was ten per cent wetter than average.
