Pop along to The Bridge Bookshop, Port Erin on Saturday 6th December for the launch of 'Those Were the Days Volume III'. Author Richard Davis will also be there to sign copies of his new title.
As part of this book launch the bookshop will be serving wine and nibbles from 4.30pm until 5.30pm. The event forms part of the Port Erin Magical Christmas extravaganza organised by Port Erin Traders Association to promote Port Erin for the benefit of the local community.
Those Were the Days Volume III is the third book in the series from local historian Richard Davis. Following on from the success of volumes 1 and 2, volume 3 contains further photographs from the Keig Collection as well as other sources. This would make an ideal Christmas present for anyone interested in Isle of Man nostalgia. Numbers of people interested in Isle of Man history and past photographs have increased greatly in recent months with followers of Manx Nostalgia on Facebook reaching over 9000. Published by Lily Publications, it is priced at ?14.95 in hardback.
