Hospice Isle of Man’s Frosty the Snowman’s Christmas fair took place at the Villa Marina recently with over ?6,000 being raised for the local charity.
The event was officially opened by Geoff Corkish MBE MLC, a long time supporter of Hospice who is also the choir master for the charity’s own choir. There were over 40 stall holders at the event with lots of entertainment from Anagh Coar, Ballacottier and Scoill Ny Jubilee School choirs definitely adding to the afternoon. The Hospice choir and Sheeanyn Millish also made guest appearances with local singer Steve Cowin rounding off the afternoon’s entertainment. Hospice would also like to thank Barclays Bank and NedBank staff for volunteering their time to help with the raffle which raised ?1,200. A full list of raffle prize winners in on Hospice’s
Facebook page – hospiceiom.
Hospice shops had their usual fabulous boutique along with every shop around the island having their own tables in the Promenade Suite. Father Christmas attended along with a Frosty the Snowman and Oskar the Bear. Staff from NedBank also worked as Santa’s helpers. A lovely afternoon was had by all that attended. Hospice would like to thank everyone that came along.
The Volunteer Department at Hospice have also got together and organised a lovely Christmas fair for next Monday 8th December at Hospice between 10am-2pm.
