Beach Buddies head to Port Mooar this Sunday

by isleofman.com 5th December 2014

Beach cleaning on Sunday switches back to Port Mooar (near Maughold) which has apparently been hit pretty badly by storms recently. We may also divide the team up and tackle Port e Vullen and Port Lewaigue too.

We meet at 10.30am and, as usual, Beach Buddies will provide all the necessary equipment, including litter pickers, gloves and bags.

Beach Buddies also disposes of the materials collected afterwards, recycling where possible, using the Sandy B trailer.

Sponsors who have very generously kept us going include AFD Software, SITA, WDS Limited, the Department of Infrastructure, The Scott Trust, the Elizabeth Clucas Trust, the Society for the Preservation of the Manx Countryside, Blythe Financial, Aston International, Charlie’s Mum and Dad, Zero Waste Mann, Andy Kerruish, Lloyds Bank, Bobby Sadler Agricultural, Santander, Cains and Juan Knight OffRoad.

Anyone who would like to receive regular news updates on the activities of Beach Buddies can register by sending an e-mail to beachbuddies@manx.net.
