It's not too late to enter charity draw to win a ?25,000 home makeover

by isleofman.com 5th December 2014

Cubbin & Bregazzi is holding a fundraising tombola on behalf of two local charities, Manx Cancer Help and Crossroads Care, and is offering a fantastic prize for one lucky winner – a home interior makeover worth ?25,000!

It’s not too late to be in with a chance of winning as tickets are available until Friday 19th December, when the draw will take place at Cubbin & Bregazzi’s Tromode showroom. All proceeds from the tickets sales will be divided equally between Manx Cancer Help and Crossroads Care. The tickets can be bought from Cubbin & Bregazzi, Manx Cancer Help, Mantons Cards in Port Erin and Crossroads' charity shops on Prospect Terrace, Windsor Road and Strand Street.

As well as raising vital funds, the joint draw is hoped to raise awareness of the strong links that have been built between the two charities, which ensures that services are not duplicated and clients can access a wide variety of top quality support.

Manx Cancer Help Chief Executive Officer Andrea Chambers said: ‘Ticket sales have been going well so far, but it is not too late to enter! We do still a few tickets available to snap up, either as a treat for yourself or as a quirky Christmas gift for someone special! The prize is ideal for both businesses and individuals, as the winner will be able to choose whether their office or home will benefit from the skill of Cubbin & Bregazzi’s interior design experts.

‘It has been a pleasure to work with Crossroads Care and Cubbin & Bregazzi on this project, and it serves as a great example of how charities can work together and make a real difference to the lives of people who need our help and support.’

Crossroads Care Chief Executive Officer Jackie Betteridge said: ‘While the scope of our services differs from that of Manx Cancer Help, we often refer our respective clients to the other so that they can benefit from both their psychological service and our care services. We hope that the tombola draw will raise awareness of the joined up approach that we are taking, and that this will inspire others across the whole of the Third Sector to consider doing the same.’

David Pickavance from Cubbin & Bregazzi said: ‘It has been really exciting to work with both charities to offer this unique prize, and we are looking forward to working with the winner to design their dream living area or business space! We would like to extend a huge thank you – and wish the best of luck – to everyone who has entered the prize draw so far, and encourage people to buy the few remaining tickets to help support the efforts of these two wonderful charities.’
