Former Island resident guilty of 18 sex offences

by isleofman.com 5th December 2014
A former Radio Caroline DJ who owned a shop on the Isle of Man has been found guilty of seven counts of rape and 11 of indecent assault.

Ray Teret, who now lives in Manchester, owned the boutique in Douglas during the mid-1960s when he was working on Radio Caroline.

The court in Manchester heard he’d abused girls as young as 13 between 1962 and 1979.

Teret, a close friend of Jimmy Saville, will be sentenced at a later date.
