Santa Claus is coming to Woodbourne Road this Sunday!

by isleofman.com 8th December 2014

Get into the spirit of Christmas and bring your children along to a festive afternoon out at The Children’s Centre on Woodbourne Road, Douglas this Sunday (14 December) from 12 noon until 4pm.

Hosting an array of games, competitions and raffles throughout the day with a fancy dress competition for the best festive outfit, this is the perfect afternoon for both children and adults alike to enjoy and take a break out from all the manic running around Christmas brings.

There will also be chances to get involved in Christmas arts and crafts activities, festive storytelling and Out2Play sessions in the garden. With the excitement of all that is available to take part in and simply because Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without it, on offer all day are a range of hot drinks, cakes and seasonal snacks to re-fuel at any time. Susie Cox, the charity’s Fundraising Co-ordinator, said:

“It’s going to be a fantastic day for all families to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and instead enjoy what Christmas is truly about – spending invaluable time with loved ones.’’

Already an expensive time of the year for families, entry to join the afternoon will be free of charge but a kind donation would be warmly welcome.

If you come along, why not bring with you a little gift and support the Santa’s Little Helper campaign – helping to provide Christmas presents for struggling families in the Isle of Man.
