This morning's Steam Packet sailing to Heysham has been cancelled and a decision will be taken later today on this evening's service.

Strong to gale force winds are expected to continue today, with gusts of up to 70mph in exposed areas.

Motorists are being warned of potentially difficult driving conditions. The gale force winds are expected to start to abate tomorrow afternoon, with rain, sleet and snow forecast.
