Minister: engage, don't snipe

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Robertshaw has accused government critics of sniping from the sidelines.

This morning, during a debate on the Manx economy instigated by Michael MHK Alf Cannan, he said changing government was essential.

But he accused some of resisting change: defending a report by consultants into the National Insurance fund after the public accounts committee said Treasury had played “fast and loose” with financial regulations.

Mr Robertshaw said those who criticised the report had missed the point:Clip 1
