There is money in the pot for a regeneration scheme for Laxey village, Chief Minister Allan Bell has confirmed.
Replying to a Tynwald question from Speaker and Garff member Steve Rodan, Mr Bell said the funding depended on Treasury approval.
Mr Rodan said the village regeneration committee had worked 'quietly, patiently and doggedly' in bringing forward a scheme and that it would be completely unacceptable if Treasury was not able to fund it from the existing pot for regeneration schemes across the Isle of Man.
The scheme includes the creation of a village square, new paving and works at the MER station.
