Severe weather disrupts ferries

by isleofman.com 10th December 2014

The Steam Packet has cancelled this evening's sailing to Heysham as gale force winds continue to batter the region.

Consequently there will be no overnight return from Heysham to Douglas. A decision has yet to be made on whether the Ben my Chree will sail from the Isle of Man for its scheduled service at 8.45am tomorrow (Thursday).

The met office is warning it will remain windy for the rest of today and tonight, with wintry showers on higher ground. Tomorrow should be another bright day with the westerly gales gradually easing.
