IOM flights get back to normal after UK air traffic problem

by isleofman.com 12th December 2014
The situation at Ronaldsway Airport is returning to normal after an issue this afternoon with National Air Traffic Services led to flights being suspended.
The problem was believed to be a computer issue at Swanick air traffic control centre.
Airspace capacity was restricted for a time and it was thought for a time that this could continue until around 7pm.
But the system was restored shortly after 4.30pm and operations are returning to normal.
The UK Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has called the disruption "unacceptable" and has asked NATS for a full explanation of the incident.
