Post Office and Nunnery the focus of Keys questions

by isleofman.com 16th December 2014

Two MHKs are set to dominate today's House of Keys questions (16 Dec).
All but one of the 16 questions for oral answer come from Onchan MHK Peter Karran and West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas.
Mr Karran's include four on the plan to move the operations of the main post offices in Douglas and Ramsey into nearby Spar shops.
That plan has since been put on hold.
Peter Karran's questions for the treasury minister and the chairman of Isle of Man Post Office focus on the tendering process which led to Mannin Retail being given the contract to take over the operations.
On another subject, he's asking about people in 'management' from government who have retired early and then taken up consultancy roles within it.
Chris Thomas, meanwhile, has queries about the Nunnery and the proposal to set up an institute there for teaching information and communications technology.
He will also ask the policy and reform minister what has been learned from the official review of the Big Debate process.
You can hear live coverage of House of Keys questions on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, online at manxradio.com and via the iPhone and Android apps, from 10 am.
