Dental check-up charge on the way

by isleofman.com 17th December 2014
Going for a dental check-up will cost ?16.50 from next April.
The charge is being brought in for NHS patients, although people who are currently exempt will remain so.
The levy is expected to generate up to ?280,000 per year for the Department of Health.
Minister Howard Quayle says the plans – to go before Tynwald in March – would bring the Isle of Man in line with policy already in place in the United Kingdom.
And he says any funds raised will be ploughed straight back into NHS dentistry.Clip 1
