'No quick fix' to hospital overspend

by isleofman.com 18th December 2014
There’s no quick fix to a health overspend – so says the minister charged with overseeing significant changes in the Island's health service.
In the week it was revealed Noble’s hospital was ?4.5 million over budget at the end of September, Howard Quayle says the job of restructuring is a long-term process.
He was appointed in March after high profile criticism of health services, particularly aspects of care at Noble’s.
It led to the departure of a number of senior management.
Mr Quayle says while work has started, it will take between three and five years for a series of improvements to be fully implemented.Clip 1
