Music night raises funds for children’s charity

by isleofman.com 19th December 2014

An evening of songs and skeet at Port St Mary Town Hall raised ?1,240 for The Children’s Centre.

Adrian Dobbins, Peter Jenkins, Ashton Lewis, Arthur Fife, Eric Taggart, Neill Skillen and Steve Stock – known collectively as ‘The Rough Boys’ – organise a fundraising event for a local charity every year. This year they chose to raise funds for The Children’s Centre with an event called ‘The Rough Boys Cheap Night Out’ featuring local band Skeet.

Susie Cox, Community Fundraiser at The Children’s Centre, thanked them for their fantastic fundraising efforts, and everyone who attended the evening.

All funds raised go to the Centre’s charitable projects which help families and children across the Island, including Mobex, Out2Play, Child Contact Centre, Community Development and the Community Farm.
