Planners approved almost ninety percent of the applications which landed on their desks this year.
Government figures show to the end of November, just over 1,500 applications were received.
Of those, 1,310 were granted permission.
Just over 70% were given the green light within two months with just under 90% getting a decision within 13 weeks.
