Group presses need for Manx credit union

Counting the cost of Christmas if you've taken out a commercial loan could add up to a worrying start to the new year for some Island residents.
All the more need for a Manx credit union - according to a working group trying to set one up.
The group's calling on the government to push forward plans to update legislation, to allow a union to be formed.
Credit unions are non-profit organisations which offer small loans at low cost, often for the less well-off to buy essentials.
Each member contributes to the and helps run the organisation.
