The IOM Constabulary have now confirmed that the man who died yesterday, Sunday 28th December 2014, in a road traffic collision near Alpine Corner, on the Kirk Michael to Ballaugh Main Road, was Jamie Joseph Cowhig, aged 27 years, from Ramsey.
The incident happened at approximately 7.00am and enquiries into the collision are continuing. There is an appeal for anyone who has information surrounding the blue Ford Focus which was the only vehicle involved in the collision.
The Police expressed their thoughts and sympathy to Jamie's family at this very difficult time and have requested that their privacy be respected.
