Deadline extended for those interested in providing Island ferry services

WEDNESDAY 31/12

The Department of Infrastructure has extended the closing date for shipping operators to register an initial interest in providing ferry and freight services to the Island in the future.
The deadline has been put back two weeks from 12 noon on Wednesday January 7th 2015 . . . to noon on Wednesday January 21 2015.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says whilst the Department has already received a number of responses to the original notice published last month . . . it's been suggested in several quarters that the time allowed for companies to express an interest was too short.
Mr Gawne says on reflection, he believes it's right to allow more time.Clip 1
