Normal service on Packet sailings after weather warning

by isleofman.com 1st January 2015

The Steam Packet's first sailings of 2015 are operating to schedule (1 Jan) after a warning of potential disruption due to bad weather.
There were fears strong winds up to gale force in the Irish Sea could cause delays and cancellations to today's crossings between the Island and Heysham.
A decision was made before 0700 that the ferries will sail, with the Ben my Chree leaving for the Lancashire port at 0845 returning at 1415.
Tonight's sailing to Heysham and the overnight return are also listed as operating to schedule.
