Appeal response leaves farmer with warm glow

A Patrick farmer has thanked the Steam Packet and Manx public for their help.
Jenny Shepherd spent Christmas in Kent but was unable to return to the Island at the weekend due to the breakdown of the Ben-my-Chree.
An appeal was broadcast on Manx Radio for help in feeding the sheep on the farm after she was told the earliest they could get back would be 56 hours later.
Jenny flew back on Sunday but within hours of the appeal on Manx Radio, the Steam Packet arranged for her partner to travel as a foot passenger on the Manannan on Monday afternoon, with the car coming back on the Arrow as freight.
