The Annual Commemorative Service to honour the memory of Sir William Hillary, the founder of the RNLI, will be held on Sunday 11th January 2015 at St George’s Church, Douglas, at 3.00pm.
The service is to be conducted by the Archdeacon of Man, the Venerable Andrew Brown. His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Mr. Adam Wood will be attending the service and will lay a wreath on the tomb of Sir William & Lady Hillary in St George’s Churchyard after the service.
The Crew and Committee of the Douglas Station extend an invitation to all supporters of the RNLI lifeboat service to be with them on this occasion, and afterwards in the South Douglas Old Friends Association premises in Finch Road where light refreshments will be served.
