Another step towards Anglicisation

The Island's proposed Equality Bill could be detrimental to Manx society as we know it, according to a local advocate and Human Rights specialist.
Currently, it would ban discrimination on the grounds of specified characteristics including disability, gender, and sexual orientation.
But Paul Beckett says there are a number of issues with it.
According to him, using the UK's law as a template would be detrimental to the Island's identity:
