Child care contracts should be 'null and void'

An MHK says new government child care contracts - due to be signed – should be declared null and void.
Peter Karran is to ask Tynwald later this month to voice its concern over the tender process.
He believes it should have been halted as soon as it emerged a civil servant involved in the decision-making process was a director of the UK charity, Family Action, bidding for work.
Ultimately, St Christopher’s Fellowship was awarded a number of contracts with the Department of Social Care – many at the expense of long established Manx organisation, The Children's Centre.
Minister Howard Quayle says many Children's Centre staff who stand to lose their jobs will be offered employment with St Christopher’s.Clip 1
