Manx Cancer Help thanks Citywing for 2014 support

by isleofman.com 6th January 2015

Manx Cancer Help has thanked Citywing for its help throughout 2014, after the company nominated the organisation as its charity of the year.

Ally Martin, Fundraising Events Coordinator at Manx Cancer Help, said:

‘Citywing gave our fundraising a much needed boost by choosing us as its nominated charity for 2014.

‘The generous donation of 24 return tickets for us to use for fundraising was a fantastic help and the Plane Pull held in July was hugely successful, with the amount raised being matched pound for pound by Barclays, and offered a fun way for people to get involved with helping a local charity.

‘Being Citywing’s charity of the year has given us a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the services we provide at Manx Cancer Help to help and support anyone affected by cancer. It has been a pleasure to work with the team at Citywing, and we cannot thank them enough for their support throughout the year.’

David Buck, Managing Director of Citywing, said:

‘We are delighted to have been able to support Manx Cancer Help this year, and to raise awareness of, and funds for, the brilliant work that the charity does in the local community. Unfortunately, cancer is an illness that impacts the lives of so many people, so it is reassuring that Manx Cancer Help is here to help anyone affected.

‘It is important that we, as a community, offer our support and help to raise the funds that will enable the charity to continue providing these vital services to those who need it the most. We wish the charity the best of luck for 2015 and beyond.’
