Coastline lashed at stormy high tide

by isleofman.com 7th January 2015
Stretches of the Island's coastline took a pounding during today's stormy weather.
Strong winds whipped up big waves which crashed over sea walls and harbours in the south and east, at high tide this lunchtime.
Worst-hit areas were the north end of Douglas promenade at Port Jack, Shore Road at Bay Ny Carrickey and Castletown promenade, where waves scattered debris onto roads.
High spring tides later this month are expected to bring flooding to some coastal areas and inner harbours.
