Commissioners inquiry deadline today

by isleofman.com 8th January 2015
Do you think the board of Peel Commissioners should be reduced from nine members to seven?

Today (Thursday) is the final day to submit your views ahead of an inquiry which will assess the pros and cons of the local authority cutting its membership.

It’s offered to voluntarily downsize - if approved, it would come into effect at the next local authority elections in April 2016.

The inquiry, chaired by former advocate Geoff Karran, takes place next Wednesday (January the 14th) at Peel town hall at 10am.

Views should be sent to the local government unit at the Department of Infrastructure by 5pm tomorrow at the Sea Terminal.
