Ten per cent car tax rise

The government’s set to introduce an inflation-busting rise for car tax.

When Tynwald sits later this month, members will be asked to approve a ten per cent rise for all cars and motorcycles.

If approved, the increase would come into effect on March 1.

A ?6 road safety surcharge introduced ten years ago is included in the total price.
