Children's Centre thanks public for support

An 11th hour attempt may be made today (Friday) to halt the awarding of a number of government child care contracts.

They were awarded to St Christopher’s Fellowship just before Christmas after a tendering process.

There’s been anger long established Manx organisation The Children’s Centre missed out, although it still retains around ?2.2 million of government work.

This afternoon (Friday), senior figures in the Department of Social Care will explain to politicians why St Christopher’s was successful in the bidding process.

Children’s centre facilities manager Chris Martin has thanked members of the public for their support and says they have no issues with their fellow provider.Clip 1
