Logistics key to preventing fresh food shortages

The cancellation of successive boats raises concerns about the delivery of food and other essentials to the Island.
Local producers such as Ramsey Bakery can react to a short-term increase in demand, as can some Island growers.
Island-based Robinson's supply Shoprite, Iceland and their own outlets with local and imported groceries.
The company orders more from the UK when bad weather is forecast and has extended its storage capacity in recent years.
But Managing Director John Horsthuis says there's a limit to how much fresh food they can stockpile:Clip 1
