Island braced for more stormy weather

by isleofman.com 15th January 2015

Today's ferry sailings have been cancelled along with some air travel as severe weather continues to batter the Isle of Man.

Flights to London City, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow and Gloucester have been cancelled.

The met office is forecasting severe gale force winds this morning and showers that will turn wintry on higher ground. Conditions are expected to worsen throughout the day, touching storm force at times this afternoon with gusts forecast of up to 80 mph. Motorists are being warned to take care on the roads.
