In relation to the recent spate of burglaries, Officers from the Isle Of Man Constabulary have been working longer shifts and increased patrols across the Island.

On Tuesday 13th January, a warrant was executed at an address in Douglas in relation to stolen items.  This did not return any property.

Unfortunately, another three incidents were report yesterday, Wednesday 14th) December, in the Douglas and Onchan area.  Investigations are ongoing in relation to these, including the timescale for when these have occurred.

An arrest of a juvenile has also been made relating to a commercial burglary which occurred on New Year’s eve.

Detective Inspector Dave Dobbie has added “I thank the members of the public for their assistance in these investigations.  There has been a number of calls to the Police in relation to suspicious activity, either people on foot or in vehicles.  These are a great benefit to us and we encourage the public to continue letting us know of any suspicious behaviour”.
