Burglaries continue

by isleofman.com 16th January 2015
The number of burglaries happening during this current wave of them continues to rise.
Police say another five were reported over Wednesday and Thursday, in the south of the Island, Douglas and Onchan, and are linked to the previous burglaries reported since Friday last week.
This brings the total to 21 during that time.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has deployed extra staff, day and night in response to these burglaries.
Detective Inspector Dave Dobbie says members of the public are reporting suspicious activity, which they appreciate.
He asks for people continue to be vigilant, both around their and neighbouring houses, particularly if the properties are unoccupied.
He says these incidents have occurred over a large area of the Island and the message for people to be attentive and to report anything suspicious applies to the whole community.
