Mayor praises Council’s parks and electrical services teams

by isleofman.com 20th January 2015

Douglas Mayor Stan Cain has hosted a reception for members of the Council’s parks and electrical services sections.

He took the opportunity, on behalf of his fellow Council members, to acknowledge the commitment and hard work of the teams who had done much to transform the town centre: the parks section with their imaginative floral displays and the electrical services team for their input at the many community events staged by the Council, in particular the Christmas lights switch-on ceremony. He also recognised the valuable contribution made by both teams to the Council’s support of the Island’s commemorations of the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
