Full debate needed on ferry policy

by isleofman.com 21st January 2015
There will need to be a full debate about ferry policy before determining the future of services to and from the Island.

That’s the view of the Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne to ensure all future needs are met.

Today (Wednesday) is the closing date for expressions of interest to be sent to government from operators of passenger and roll-on, roll-off freight ferry services.

The current user agreement with the Steam Packet runs out in 2020 but can be extended until 2026.

Mr Gawne admits there’s much to consider.Clip 1
