Burglary count stands at 36

by isleofman.com 22nd January 2015
Police now say there have been 36 burglaries in the past few weeks.

Yesterday, two incidents were reported – a householder foiled would-be thieves in Vicarage Park in Douglas, while a successful break-in at Ballamilligan in Braddan netted a haul of cash and jewellery.

Police are holding a crime prevention surgery in the Strand Centre in Douglas from noon until 2pm on Saturday.

And next week in the House of Keys, Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson what the reasons are behind the increase in burglaries.

Inspector Derek Flint says people should contact police if they have any information - and not just post it on social media:Clip 1
