Ethics and standards key in process

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2015
An MHK who questioned the tender process for the award of government child care contracts hopes lessons have been learned.
South Douglas member David Cretney was among those who raised the issue in Tynwald this week.
He was unhappy that contracts were awarded after it emerged there was a conflict of interest with a civil servant involved in the decision-making process.
Tynwald was told it ultimately did not impact on the awarding of contracts to St Christopher’s Fellowship.
Mr Cretney says even if that is the case, it’s an issue of standards and ethics.Clip 1
