Board room departure row 'splitting hairs' - Singer

by isleofman.com 23rd January 2015
The former vice chairman of the Post Office, Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer has admitted he left a meeting of the board voluntarily - and was not asked to go.
Last night the Post Office issued a statement, refuting all claims by Mr Singer that he was asked to leave a meeting in December, where the closure of two Crown offices was being discussed.
Mr Singer says his declared opposition to the move prompted other board members to highlight a conflict of interest.
After claiming this week he'd been asked to leave, the MHK now concedes he withdrew of his own accord.
But Mr Singer insists says there was strong pressure to go:

The Post Office statement says it has not yet received any plans from Mr Singer to save the Ramsey and Douglas offices.
Mr Singer says his plans will be presented to a public meeting in Ramsey next week. Clip 1
