He also denies a charge of assault against Alison Anderson.
The trial of Mr Anderson, from Queen Street, is expected to last for up to five weeks and is before Deemster Montgomerie at Douglas courthouse from 10.15am.
Meanwhile, committal proceedings are due to take place today in the case of four men from England accused of attempted kidnap on an Island resident.
The men, who are from Burnley and Bradford respectively, have all been charged with detaining another man during the first weekend of November with the ‘intention of sending him out of the island’.
The defendants, 19-year-old Abdul Ahad, 21-year-old Zishaan Sharif, 22-year-old Amman Sohail and 24-year-old Muhammad Khan, have yet to enter pleas.
